When and when not to use a realtor.
To use, or not to use: a Realtor? That is the question.
This is a question many ponder but the fact is, it depends. It depends on your individual situation.
If you are in great shape financially, have the time, and can afford to pay commissions, a Realtor is a safe bet. A Realtor will market your property, take care of all the paperwork, and sell your house. The time from listing to closing will take on average 3 ½ to 4 Months. Using a Realtor is the preferred method because most are professional and will work hard for their commission.
But, if you are at break-even or underwater, a Realtor may not be your best choice. You don’t have funds to pay commissions and time may not be on your side. In this case, you need an experienced creative business professional to get you out of a jam without “Short-Selling” your house.
